Freelance Gaphic Design Hungary – Luca Molnar

Posted on 14 February 2010 by Gavin Campbell

Over the last 5 or so years, there have been a number of strong, distinctive styles that have captivated many young designers in the industry. The unique mix seen in many of today’s best photo illustrators has become a dominate trend and one that is heavily sought after by employers, commissioners, art directors and art buyers alike.

Many leading design magazines and blogs display new media work which consists of photographic images mixed with vibrant vectors to create a bubbly and energetic mood. This is particularly apparent in the advertising industry and looks set to dictate for the coming years ahead.

I happened to come across one particular artist who I feel represents this style very well. Luca Molnar is a young graphic designer who is currently based in Hungary and operates as a freelancer, doing commissions and projects for a variety of companies.

Her design work is fun, creative and bubbly, with an apparent use of bold colours which gives her pieces an abundance of life. I checked out her site and it seems she is very busy at the moment with a number of online projects for clients in the US and the UK. Her style is particularly suited to a younger market and will do well in the advertising industry. She can handle any aspect of design, from logo creation to letterheads, posters, web layouts and adverts.

Her work is very smooth and feminine, with a particular focus on females and swirls. This combination creates a very light a enjoyable viewing experience and reminds me of a UK design by the name of Radim Malinic. Her strengths are predominantly with Photoshop, with a touch of Illustrator or similar software to match. Her contemporary style is definitely suited to the music scene and I guess Luca’s musical tastes lean towards the RnB scene.

Luca has been interviewed and had featured work from a few large and well know sites such as Blur Design and PNWorldwide. She had worked for a number of clients ,particularly in the music scene, such as Flatland Music, S&S Records, American Yard and Nicole Richie.

You can contact Luca by logging onto her site or by checking out her PNWorldwide or Behance portfolios. You can follow her on twitter or read her own personal blog. She is currently available for commissions and contracts on a freelance basis.

You can Find new ways to build your own new great graphic design portfolio and find a host of top professionals by viewing their illustrations.
